Bancharampur UNO dies

Ferdous Ara, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Bancharampur in Brahmanbaria, has passed away. She died at 7 a.m. on Wednesday (14 January) at a private hospital in Dhaka.

Ferdous Ara fell ill at her workplace on Monday and was admitted to a Dhaka hospital for treatment. She was an officer of the 36th BCS Administration Cadre and had joined as Bancharampur UNO on 9 January. Previously, she served at the Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Md. Robiul Hasan Bhuiya, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Bancharampur, said Ferdous Ara suffered from migraine. Her family stated that she will be buried at her in-laws’ residence in Daudkandi, Comilla. Her paternal home is in Shekdi, Jatrabari, Dhaka.
