Bangladesh advance 4 notches in global passport ranking

Bangladesh has advanced four places in the world's strongest passport index in 2025. Bangladesh is now ranked 93rd in terms of the strongest passport. This time, Libya and Palestine are in the same position with Bangladesh. This time, Singapore is at the top of the index. Afghanistan is at the bottom.

Last year, Bangladesh was ranked 97th in this index. The year before that, i.e. in 2023, Bangladesh was ranked 98th.

This information was revealed in the index published by the London-based organization Henley & Partners, UK. The index was published on the organization's website last Tuesday (February 4).

According to the website, this index of strong passports has been prepared based on how many countries a country's passport can visit without a prior visa or with visa-free facilities. In this case, passports of 199 countries and 227 travel destinations around the world have been taken into account.

The information published in the index says that now Bangladeshi passport holders can travel to 39 countries around the world without a prior visa or with visa-free facilities. Although Bangladeshi passport holders could travel to 42 countries around the world without a visa in advance as of early last year, this number was 40 in 2023.
