Bangladesh Bank warns against transacting with 22 unlicensed payment platforms

Bangladesh Bank has identified 22 unlicensed online payment aggregator platforms operating without the central bank's approval. The central bank has warned the general public not to transact with these platforms and to refrain from conducting activities through them.

On Sunday, September 27, Bangladesh Bank said that if any individual, institution or company provides payment services without its approval, it is completely illegal and a punishable offence under the 'Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2024'.

The 22 unlicensed online payment platforms identified by the central bank are: Bohudurpay (Bohudurpay), Jinipay, Petilar, Bengalipay, Pewra BD, Shohojpay BD, Easypayway, AK Pay, BD Pay, Sazgarpay, Asthape or CPay, Uddoktpay, Walletmix, BTT Pay, Easy Pay Automation, Uniquepay BD, BD Auto Pay, RH Pay BD, EasyPay, AutoPay Limited, Bishwastha and Piprapay.

Bangladesh Bank has advised against conducting activities through these unlicensed platforms to ensure the safety of hard-earned money and avoid legal risks. At the same time, the general public has been specially requested to refrain from any kind of transaction through these platforms.
