The Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut has urged expatriate Bangladeshis in Lebanon to remain in safe locations and avoid movement until further official instructions are issued by the Lebanese government regarding the Israel–Lebanon ceasefire.

In a statement issued on Thursday (April 16), the embassy advised all Bangladeshi nationals currently taking shelter in secure areas not to leave their designated locations.

The advisory said that until clear directives or announcements are made by the Lebanese authorities on the ceasefire situation, expatriates should remain in place for their safety.

It further added that workers should only return to their workplaces or residences once employers (kafils) confirm that conditions in those areas have stabilised and are safe for return.

The embassy stressed continued caution amid uncertainty over the implementation of the ceasefire and evolving security conditions in the region.
