Bangladesh embassy in Beirut urges nationals to evacuate 14 high-risk areas
The Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut has issued an urgent advisory instructing Bangladeshi nationals to immediately relocate from 14 high-risk areas in the Lebanese capital amid fears of possible attacks.
In a notice issued on Thursday (April 9), the embassy warned of a heightened risk of “potential attacks” across several areas, citing a deteriorating security situation. Nationals have been urged to move to safer locations without delay.
The listed areas include Sabra Shatila, Shatila, Burj al-Barajneh, Al-Rihab, Jnah, Bir Hassan, Hay al-Sellom, Airport Road, Ouzai, Al-Shiyah, outskirts of Tariq al-Jadideh, Al-Tayouneh, outskirts of Furn El Chebbak, and Badaro.
Most of these areas are located in southern Beirut (Dahiya) and surrounding densely populated neighborhoods, home to a significant number of Bangladeshi expatriates.
The embassy also advised nationals to remain vigilant and follow instructions from local authorities.
