Bangladesh sends 300kg of Haribhanga mangoes gift to Tripura

As part of a longstanding tradition of goodwill, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, has sent 300 kilograms of the renowned Haribhanga mangoes to the Tripura state government and key Indian dignitaries.

The mangoes, packed in 60 cartons, were dispatched via the Akhaura land port at 5:15pm on Thursday (July 10) and formally handed over to the representative of the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala.

The consignment was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the exporting company Cargoworld Logistics.

According to Revenue Officer Md Jahangir Alam of Akhaura Land Customs Station, the mangoes were released without customs duties or taxes, citing their "national importance" in fostering regional diplomacy.
