Bangladesh has fallen six places to 100th in the latest Henley Passport Index, jointly sharing the position with North Korea.

The UK-based firm Henley & Partners published the updated ranking this week, covering 106 countries.

In the previous edition released in July 2025, Bangladesh ranked 94th. The new list places Nepal (101), Somalia (102), Pakistan and Yemen (103), Iraq (104), Syria (105), and Afghanistan (106) below Bangladesh.

Bangladeshi passport holders can now travel visa-free to 38 countries, including Bhutan, Maldives, Kenya, Fiji, Jamaica, Grenada, and Seychelles.

At the top of the index, Singapore ranks first with visa-free access to 193 destinations, followed by South Korea (190) and Japan (189). Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, and Switzerland share the fourth spot with access to 188 countries, while Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, and the Netherlands rank fifth with 187 visa-free destinations.
