Bangladesh strongly condemns violation of sovereignty of Middle Eastern countries
Bangladesh has strongly condemned the violation of sovereignty of several Middle Eastern countries—Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This official position was expressed in a statement sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday (March 1).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that in the wake of the recent attacks in Iran, the government is deeply concerned about the safety of Bangladeshi citizens living in the region. Bangladesh has clearly stated that if this state of war continues, regional peace, stability and the welfare of the general civilian population will be severely endangered.
The statement called on all parties concerned to exercise utmost restraint and to cease military activities and return to the negotiating table, that is, diplomacy, as soon as possible. Bangladesh expressed the hope that peace will prevail as soon as possible and stability, security and peace will be restored to the region soon.
