Bangladesh welcomes ongoing Hamas-Israel dialogue

Bangladesh has welcomed the ongoing dialogue aimed at ending the fighting in Gaza, calling it a crucial step toward peace. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Thursday highlighting the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving conflicts.

The statement praised the efforts of all stakeholders to advance key diplomatic initiatives and expressed hope that the process will lead to an immediate ceasefire, restoration of humanitarian aid, and relief for the people of Gaza.

Bangladesh emphasized that ending the conflict through dialogue could pave the way for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. The country also reaffirmed its support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, and expressed readiness to contribute to peace and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
