Bangladeshi expat killed in multi-bike collision in Malaysia
A Bangladeshi expatriate worker has been killed in a three-way motorcycle collision in Malaysia’s Johor state.
The accident took place along the Masai-Kong Kong Road in Pasir Gudang, Seri Alam district, on Friday morning (April 18).
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Sohaimi Ishak confirmed the incident.
According to the preliminary investigations, the victim was riding from Masai towards Kota Masai when he lost control of his motorcycle and entered the opposite lane, colliding with another motorcycle. He was then thrown onto the road and subsequently run over by a third motorcycle approaching from behind, resulting in his death at the scene.
Two other motorcyclists involved in the crash sustained injuries and were taken to Pasir Gudang Hospital for treatment.
Police said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of Malaysia’s Road Transport Act 1987.
Authorities have urged witnesses to come forward with information to assist the investigation.
