Bangladeshi killed in Houthi attack in Saudi Arabia
A Bangladeshi national named Md Sajib Hossain has been killed in a drone or missile attack by Houthi rebels on an Aramco facility in the Al Khurais area of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province. The information was conveyed in a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, October 5.
The deceased, Md Sajib Hossain, was from Cumilla district. However, no immediate detailed information was available about Sunday's incident.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said deep sorrow has been expressed over the tragic death of Sajib Hossain and strong condemnation has been conveyed over this barbaric attack. At the same time, the ministry expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family of the deceased.
The press release further stated that the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has already contacted the deceased's family and his employing organisation and is providing necessary assistance. The embassy is continuing close coordination with Saudi authorities to complete formalities quickly and bring Sajib's body back to the country.
