The phrase 'Except Israel' has been reinstated on Bangladeshi passports. This means Bangladeshi passport holders are once again officially not allowed to travel to Israel. The decision was announced in a notice issued by the Security Services Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday (April 13). বাংলাদেশের পাসপোর্টে পুনরায় ‘এক্সসেপ্ট ইসরায়েল’ (ইসরায়েল বাদে) শব্দ দুটি পুনর্বহাল করা হয়েছে। ফলে এখন থেকে আর বাংলাদেশি পাসপোর্টে ইসরায়েল ভ্রমণ করা যাবে না। রোববার (১৩ এপ্রিল) স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের সুরক্ষা বিভাগ থেকে প্রকাশিত প্রজ্ঞাপনে বিষয়টি জানানো হয়েছে। এ বিষয়ে স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের সুরক্ষা সেবা বিভাগের উপসচিব নীলিমা আফরোজ বলেন, "পাসপোর্টে নতুন করে ‘এক্সসেপ্ট ইসরায়েল ’ বিষয়টি বহাল করা হয়েছে। এ নিয়ে একটি প্রজ্ঞাপনও জারি করা হয়েছে।" এর আগে শনিবার ফিলিস্তিনিদের প্রতি সংহতি প্রকাশের কর্মসূচি ‘মার্চ ফর গাজা’র ঘোষণাপত্রে বাংলাদেশের পাসপোর্টে ‘এক্সসেপ্ট ইসরায়েল’ (ইসরায়েল ব্যতীত) লেখাটি আবারও উল্লেখ করার দাবি জানানো হয়েছিল।
