The Inspireli Awards, the largest international student architecture competition, recently honored Saraf Nawer a student from Bangladesh’s Military Institute of Science and Technology with the 9th annual Architecture Award. Among over 921 registered projects from 85 countries, Saraf Nawer received the award as a Bangladeshi in the world’s largest student architecture competition. Her project, “Tale of an Ocean: Oceanarium Complex at Sonadia,” focuses on creating a sustainable oceanarium on Sonadia Island, balancing conservation with development to withstand challenging climate conditions. Martin Dudaško, the jury chairman, praised the project for its flawless integration with the unique location.

শিক্ষার্থীদের জন‌্য আয়োজিত বিশ্বের সর্ববৃহৎ স্থাপত্য প্রতিযোগিতা ‘দ্য ইন্সপাইরেলি অ্যাওয়ার্ডস’-এর নবম আসরে অ‌্যাওয়ার্ড জিতেছে বাংলাদেশের মিলিটারি ইন্সটিটিউট অফ সায়েন্স এন্ড টেকনোলজির আর্কিটেকচার বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থী সারাফ নাওয়ার। ৮৫টি দেশের ৯২১টিরও বেশি নিবন্ধিত প্রকল্পের মধ্যে সারাফ নাওয়ার প্রতিযোগিতা উত্তীর্ণ হয়ে একজন বাংলাদেশি হিসাবে এ পুরস্কার পান। সারাফ নাওয়ারের প্রকল্পের শিরোনাম ছিলো, ‘টেল অফ অ্যান ওশান: সোনাদিয়া ওশেনারিয়াম কমপ্লেক্স’। এই প্রকল্পের মাধ‌্যমে সোনাদিয়া দ্বীপে একটি টেকসই সমুদ্রঘর তৈরির উপর দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করা জয়। চ্যালেঞ্জিং জলবায়ু পরিস্থিতি মোকাবেলায় উন্নয়নের সাথে সংরক্ষণের ভারসাম্য বজায় রাখার দিকেও গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়। প্রতিযোগিতার জুড়ি বোর্ডের চেয়ারম‌্যান সারাফ নাওয়ারের প্রকল্পের জন‌্য তার প্রশংসা করেছেন।
