Bangladeshi youth injured in BSF shooting at Chuadanga border
A Bangladeshi young man was injured by gunfire from the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Jibannagar border in Chuadanga.
The injured, Azad Hossain, 30, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Solaiman Sheikh, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jibannagar Police Station, confirmed the matter on Friday morning (March 20).
Jibannagar Police Officer-in-Charge Solaiman Sheikh confirmed the incident, stating that Hossain is currently receiving treatment in the surgery ward of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
A senior nurse at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital said Hossain was admitted overnight with multiple shrapnel wounds.
Police said the shooting took place around 7:00pm on Thursday during a border altercation. A general diary has been filed at the local police station, and authorities are investigating the incident.
