Bangladeshi youth's body recovered in Los Angeles

Police have recovered the body of Bangladeshi youth Shakib Ali, 30, living in Los Angeles, USA. His body was recovered from an apartment in the city's elite Marina del Rey area local time on Monday.

It is learned that Shakib Ali lived alone in the house. After not being able to contact him for a few days, family members became worried. Later, his parents came from Atlanta, Georgia and found the door of the house locked from the inside. When the matter was reported to the police, they came and opened the door using the apartment code and found Shakib's body on the bedroom floor.

Local sources believe that he may have died of a heart attack two days ago. However, the exact cause of death cannot be confirmed until the autopsy report is received.

Shakib Ali completed his higher education in information technology and started his career at telecom company AT&T. He later joined e-commerce company Amazon and started living in Los Angeles via Florida for work.

A funeral service is scheduled to be held at the Southern California Islamic Center before his body is taken to Georgia.

Shakib's death has plunged the US Awami League and the Bangladeshi diaspora community into mourning.
