BB Additional Director found dead at Mugda home

The half-decomposed body of Bangladesh Bank Additional Director Tanvir Hasan Shuvo has been recovered from a rented house in the capital's North Mugda area. Based on information provided by local residents, police went to the scene and broke down the door of the house and recovered the body of the bank official on Tuesday night (June 2).

Neighbors said that they called 999 and informed the police after receiving no response from the house and a foul smell was emanating from inside the house. Later, the Mugda Police Station reached the scene and broke down the door of the house and found Shuvo's body hanging from his neck.

Meanwhile, the police believe that the bank official may have committed suicide due to mental depression.

Mugda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ahsan Ullah said that whether it was a suicide or there was some other reason behind it can be said for sure after receiving the autopsy report and completing the investigation. An accidental death case has been filed by the family of the deceased in this incident.
