BERC raises jet fuel prices for domestic, international flights
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) on Wednesday (August 13) announced revised jet fuel prices for both domestic and international flights.
The price of jet fuel for domestic flights has been set at Tk 99.62 per liter, while for international flights it has been fixed at 65.02 cents per liter.
The new rates will take effect from 12:00am tonight.
Previously, the rate for domestic flights was Tk 98.02 per liter, while for international flights it was 64.01 cents per liter.
Jet fuel and all other fuel oil prices in the country were previously set by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC). Since the beginning of this year, the authority to set these prices has been transferred to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), which, by law, serves as the regulatory body for all types of fuel and electricity in the country.
