BERC reduces 12kg LPG cylinder price by Tk19

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced a reduction in the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder by Tk19, bringing the new retail price to Tk1,431, down from Tk1,450. The revised price will take effect from 6.00pm today, following the announcement made during a press conference at the BERC office on Sunday (May 4) at 4.00pm.

The prices of other LPG cylinder sizes have also been revised. The updated rates are as follows: 12.5kg at Tk1,491; 15kg at Tk1,789; 16kg at Tk1,908; 18kg at Tk2,146; 20kg at Tk2,385; 22kg at Tk2,623; 25kg at Tk2,981; 30kg at Tk3,577; 33kg at Tk3,935; 35kg at Tk4,173; and 45kg at Tk5,366.

In April, BERC maintained the price of the 12kg LPG cylinder without any change. In March, the price was reduced by Tk28, while in February, it was increased by Tk19.

The price of autogas has also been revised, with the new retail rate set at Tk65.57 per liter, down from Tk66.41.
