BGB deployed in Dhaka, 3 other districts

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) is on duty to maintain law and order in Dhaka, Gopalganj, Faridpur, and Madaripur districts, an official said Sunday (November 16).

BGB Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam confirmed the deployment, citing recent attacks in Dhaka, including cocktail bomb explosions and bus fires, as reasons for heightened security measures.

The paramilitary force is working alongside other law enforcement agencies to stabilise the situation.
