Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) jawan for illegally crossing into Bangladesh through the Biral border in Dinajpur. Shariful Islam, public relations officer at BGB headquarters, confirmed the matter on Tuesday. He said the jawan, Upal Kumar Das, was apprehended by BGB members near the Biral border around 11:00 am. Further action regarding the matter is currently underway, he added.

দিনাজপুরের বিরল সীমান্ত দিয়ে অবৈধভাবে বাংলাদেশে প্রবেশের অভিযোগে ভারতীয় সীমান্তরক্ষী বাহিনীর (বিএসএফ) এক জওয়ানকে আটক করেছে বর্ডার গার্ড বাংলাদেশ (বিজিবি)। মঙ্গলবার (২৪ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিজিবি সদর দফতরের জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা শরিফুল ইসলাম বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তিনি জানান, সকাল ১১টার দিকে বিরল সীমান্তের কাছে বিজিবি সদস্যরা উপল কুমার দাস নামে ওই জওয়ানকে আটক করে। এ বিষয়ে পরবর্তী ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হচ্ছে।
