Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and India's Border Security Force (BSF) exchanged sweets on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at Hili border in Dinajpur. This cordial arrangement was held again after a long closure of one and a half years.

Members of the two forces exchanged these greetings at 11:30am at the zero line of sub-pillar area number 285/11 of the Hili border on Saturday (March 21). At this time, packets of sweets were exchanged between Subedar Alauddin Mondal, Company Commander of Hili CP Camp of Joypurhat-20 BGB Battalion, and Inspector Rohit Sharma of 79 BSF Battalion. Both sides gave four packets of sweets.

Post Commander of ICP Checkpost Mir Hossain and Checkpost Commander of BSF Atul were present on behalf of BGB at the event. During this time, the members of the border guard forces of the two countries exchanged greetings and spent time in a cordial atmosphere.

BGB said that such exchange of greetings is organized on various national and religious festivals to maintain good relations and brotherhood between the border guard forces of the two countries. Sweets were exchanged in that vein on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
