Bhutanese PM departs Dhaka after 3-day visit
Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay has left Dhaka after completing a three-day state visit. He departed on Monday morning, November 24.
Earlier, on Saturday, he arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, where he was received by the Chief Adviser. A guard of honour and a gun salute were presented to him. He later visited the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar, paid tribute to the martyrs and planted a sapling.
Prime Minister Tobgay held a courtesy meeting with President Mohammed Shahabuddin. Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and Trade Adviser Sheikh Bashiruddin also held separate meetings with the visiting leader.
On Saturday, the Bhutanese Prime Minister and Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser held an official meeting in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They conducted a full review of bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on trade, connectivity, economic cooperation and strengthening people-to-people ties.
