Biman gets new MD, DMD

Kaizer Sohail Ahmed has been made the managing director (MD) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited on a contractual basis.

The order further noted that other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined by a formal contract and that the directive has been issued in the public interest.

The appointment was confirmed today (7 April) through an official order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration. The appointment is for a term of one year, effective from his date of joining.

The appointment comes with the specific condition that Kaizer Sohail Ahmed must sever all current employment ties, including any other profession, business, or roles within government, semi-government, and private institutions or organisations.

Meanwhile, Syed Moinuddin Ahmed has been appointed as deputy managing director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on a contractual basis for a period of one year.

According to an order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration today (7 April), the tenure will be effective from the date of his joining.

The order further states that the detailed terms and conditions of his employment will be determined through a formal contract agreement.
