Biman to operate addl flights to bring back Bangladeshis stranded in Nepal
Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate two additional flights on Thursday (September 11) to bring back Bangladeshi citizens stranded in Nepal due to ongoing political unrest.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal Shafiqur Rahman announced on Facebook that the flights are scheduled for 3:05pm and 5:45pm.
Passengers originally scheduled to return from Kathmandu on September 9 and 10 will be accommodated on flight BG374.
Around 400 Bangladeshi nationals, including a 51-member Defense College delegation on an educational tour and about 50 workers from various international organizations and NGOs, remain stranded in Nepal.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh national football team returned to Dhaka on a special flight this afternoon.
