BNP can't tolerate Bengali culture: Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said BNP is considered the stronghold of communalism in this nation and sponsor of militancy. They cannot tolerate Bengali culture.

Obaidul Quader came up with the remarks at a discussion meeting organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League in capital's Bahadur Shah Park on the occasion of Bengali New Year-1431 on Sunday (April 14).

He said, "It is now a well-established fact in the country who opposes the spirit of Baisakh. They exhibit an intolerance towards Bengali culture, with Pakistan ingrained in their minds and hearts."

Quader also said, "If we want to keep Bangladesh alive, if we want to keep Bengali culture alive, if we want to keep our history, tradition alive in our consciousness, we have to carry the current flow of Bengali culture forward, like a river, to Bangabandhu's Sonar Bengal, under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. .”
