Earlier on December 21, BNP Chairperson's adviser and former MP Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu and other senior leaders collected nomination form for Khaleda Zia from the district election office.
Meanwhile, various questions have been raised in the public mind regarding the collection of nomination forms for BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP leader Morshed Milton from the same constituency. BNP leaders and activists are also giving different reactions in this regard.
When asked about this, District BNP Joint General Secretary Enamul Haque Shaheen told Views Bangladesh that Begum Khaleda Zia's nomination was not suspended and Morshed Milton's nomination form was collected on the instructions of the party high command. The party high command will inform what decision will be taken later.
When asked, BNP leader Morshed Milton told Views Bangladesh: "I did not voluntarily collect the nomination form for candidacy. The form was collected on the instructions of the party high command. I only followed the party instructions, I don't know anything more than that."
