A man named Alamgir, a BNP leader, has been shot in front of the Millat Camp in Mirpur-11 area of the capital. He is known to be a member of the BNP's Nawabganj upazila unit in Dhaka district. The incident occurred on Friday evening, August 7, in the Millat Camp area of Mirpur-11. Local sources said Alamgir was shot in front of the Millat Camp in the evening and critically injured. Locals rescued him and took him to hospital. However, the motive behind the shooting and the identity of the attackers could not be immediately ascertained.

রাজধানীর মিরপুর-১১ নম্বরের মিল্লাত ক্যাম্পের সামনে আলমগীর নামে এক ব্যক্তি গুলিবিদ্ধ হয়েছেন। তিনি ঢাকা জেলার নবাবগঞ্জ উপজেলা বিএনপির সদস্য বলে জানা গেছে। শুক্রবার (৭ আগস্ট) সন্ধ্যায় মিরপুর-১১ নম্বরের মিল্লাত ক্যাম্প এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে। স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, সন্ধ্যায় মিল্লাত ক্যাম্পের সামনে আলমগীরকে গুলি করা হয়। এতে তিনি গুরুতর আহত হন। পরে স্থানীয়রা তাকে উদ্ধার করে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যান। তবে কী কারণে এবং কারা তাকে গুলি করেছে, তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে তা জানা যায়নি।
