BNP leads voter support with 40pc in latest survey
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has emerged as the frontrunner in voter preference, with 40 per cent of respondents indicating support in a recent survey. Jamaat-e-Islami secured backing from 28.1 per cent of participants, while the Awami League garnered nearly 18.8 per cent.
The results were unveiled at a press conference held on Wednesday at the National Archive Auditorium in Agargaon, Dhaka.
The findings come from the second round of the People’s Election Pulse Survey, conducted by INNOVISION Consulting, which focused on citizens’ political preferences ahead of the upcoming national elections. The first phase of the survey had examined public sentiment regarding the election environment and the performance of the interim government.
Covering 10,413 respondents across all 64 districts and 150 constituencies, the survey is considered the largest and most comprehensive face-to-face household study on national electoral trends.
The initiative was undertaken in collaboration with BRAIN (Bangladesh Research Analysis & Information Network) and the civic platform Voice for Reform.
