BNP Media Cell warns leaders-activists against fake committees

The BNP Media Cell has issued a warning over the circulation of fake committee lists and unauthorised publicity activities in various districts across the country, urging party leaders, activists, and the public to remain alert.

In a statement issued on Monday (June 8), the cell’s convenor Prof. Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel said that reports of fabricated BNP Media Cell committees and misleading promotions on social media have recently come to their attention.

The statement further noted that several fake Facebook pages, groups, and online communities are operating under the name of BNP Media Cell, creating confusion among party members and the public.

Clarifying the party’s position, the statement said no district or metropolitan committees under the BNP Media Cell have been formed across the country apart from its central committee.

It also warned that individuals or groups involved in forming or promoting unauthorised committees would face disciplinary action for violating party rules.

The BNP Media Cell urged leaders, activists, and journalists to verify information and avoid engaging with misleading lists or unauthorized communications circulated online.
