'BNP opposing India in Pakistani style'

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP has started opposing India in the traditional Pakistani style. When they don't get any political issues, they try to conduct 'India out' movement. It was done during Bangabandhu's tenure, now it is being done during Sheikh Hasina's tenure.

Obaidul Quader came up with the remarks at the Iftar and Eid Gift Distribution programme organized by Dhaka District Awami League at the party office in capital's Tejgaon on Saturday (March 23).

He claims that BNP leaders are not united on the issue of boycott of Indian products. AL General Secretary said, "Though they (BNP) are conducting a boycott movement, their statements are not the same. Hafiz says one thing, and Rizvi says another. Secretary General says different thing from Singapore."

"BNP organizes iftar party for their own meals. However, we distribute iftar items to the people," Quader added.
