BNP picks Tarique Rahman for Bogura-6 in upcoming election

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has been nominated for the Bogura-6 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.

The party’s nomination list was announced by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir after an urgent meeting at the Gulshan Chairman’s office on Monday ( November 3).

Fakhrul said, “After 16 years, we are contesting the national election in February 2026, with every union actively preparing for participation.”

The meeting was attended by BNP Standing Committee members including Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Babu Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Selina Rahman, Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, and Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, along with divisional organizational and co-organizational secretaries.
