BNP secretary general greets nation on Eid-ul-Azha

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has extended greetings to the countrymen and the global Muslim ummah on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.

In a message on Tuesday, May 26, he wished everyone happiness, peace and prosperity.

The true essence of Eid-ul-Azha is sacrifice and attaining closeness to Allah, Fakhrul said. Through sacrifice, people learn the lessons of selflessness, obedience and human welfare. The festival promotes equality, generosity and harmony among people. Regardless of religion and caste, the festival fosters bonds of harmony in people's hearts.

The BNP secretary general called upon everyone to stand by the helpless and the poor, saying the joy of Eid-ul-Azha must be spread among all.

He prayed to Almighty Allah that Eid-ul-Azha brings happiness, peace and blessings to everyone's lives.
