The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the people of Bangladesh across the country, including Dhaka metropolis, following the party's victory in a large number of seats in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

The information was conveyed in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

On this occasion, prayers will be held at mosques across the country, including Dhaka, after Jumu'ah prayers on Friday, February 13, 2026, seeking forgiveness for the departed soul of former prime minister and 'mother of democracy' the late Begum Khaleda Zia and expressing good wishes for the countrymen, organised by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

It is noted, however, that no victory processions or rallies shall be held by BNP following the landslide victory in the national parliamentary election.

The party has urged leaders, activists of all levels of BNP and its associate and affiliated organisations across the country, including Dhaka, as well as the general public, to participate in the prayers to be held at mosques nationwide.

At the same time, people of respective religious communities have also been requested to offer supplications to the Creator at temples, churches, pagodas and other places of worship across the country.
