BNP to hold 'Swadhinota Concert' in 4 cities including Dhaka
BNP has announced to organise ‘Swadhinota Concert' in four divisional cities including Dhaka on April 11 to stop foreign culture.
Information about the concert was revealed at a press conference organised by 'Sabar Age Bangladesh Foundation' at Gulshan in the capital on Thursday (March 27).
Speaking at the press conference, Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, president of the 'Sabar Age Bangladesh Foundation' and joint secretary general of BNP, said, "We are organising this event with the aim of preserving Bangladeshi songs and Bangladeshi culture. We want to showcase Bangladeshi's own culture to the new generation so that the invasion of foreign songs and culture can be countered."
Annie said, "We will pay special attention so that the songs of India and Pakistan do not dominate the culture of Bangladesh. Through this event, we will try to increase enthusiasm for the folk songs and culture of Bangladesh."
The event will start from 3pm and will continue till 11pm. The concerts will be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna and Bogura.
Rakibul Islam Bakul, General Secretary of the 'Sabar Age Bangladesh Foundation', Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Treasurer of the Foundation, members Atiqur Rahman Rumon, SM Jilani, Monayem Munna and Rakibul Islam Rakib were also present at the press conference.
