BNP to hold victory rallies nationwide to mark July Uprising anniversary

To mark the fall of the Awami League government and the first anniversary of the students' and people's victory in the July uprising, the BNP will organize nationwide victory rallies.

The BNP has announced that victory rallies will be held in all upazilas and police stations on Tuesday (August 5), and in all districts and metropolitan cities on Wednesday (August 6).

The programme was detailed in a press release issued on Monday, signed by the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

According to the press release, the rallies are being organized to mark the fall of what it described as Awami fascism and to celebrate the victory of the student-public movement.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi also announced that the central victory rally in Dhaka will take place at 2:00pm on Wednesday in front of the BNP’s central office in Naya Paltan.

He called on the people of Dhaka, along with BNP leaders, activists, and members of its affiliated and associate organizations, to join the rally on time.
