Ahead of 13th National Parliament election scheduled on Thursday (February 11), two senior BNP candidates, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Abu Sufian, will not be able to vote in their own constituencies.

Amir Khasru, a BNP Standing Committee member and former minister, is contesting Chattogram-11 (Bandar-Potenga) on the 'Dhaner Shish' symbol but will cast his vote at Uttar Kattali Hazi Daud Ahamed Govt. Primary School, located in Chattogram-4 (Sitakunda). He will cast his vote in Chattogram-11 for former BNP Joint Secretary Aslam Chowdhury.

Similarly, Abu Sufian, BNP candidate for Chattogram-9 (Kotwali-Baklia), will vote at CDA High School and College in Chandgaon, which falls under Chattogram-8 (Chandgaon-Boalkhali). His vote in Chattogram-9 will go to city BNP leader Ershad Ullah.

Other candidates have also been assigned polling centers outside their constituencies. In Chattogram-9, Jamaat candidate Dr. AKM Fazlul Haque will vote at Dr. Khastagir Government High School in Jamalkhan, while Chattogram-11 Jamaat candidate Shafiul Alam will vote at South Halishahar Munshipara center.

Former Jamaat MP Shahjahan Chowdhury will vote at Chakmania Chomdarpara Multilateral High School, while his BNP rival Nazmul Mostafa Amin will vote at Sukhchari High School in Lohagara.

BNP candidates Aslam Chowdhury and Barrister Mir Helal will vote at Bhanubazar Madrasa-e-Mohammadia, Bhatiari and Mirer Khil Government Primary School, respectively. Chattogram-8 BNP candidate Ershad Ullah will vote at the Sharafat Ullah Petrol Pump center in Old Chandgaon Thana.

This arrangement reflects Bangladesh’s election rules, which assign voters to polling centers based on their registered address rather than candidacy, ensuring all votes are legally accounted for.
