BNP's demand for re-election is baseless: Quader
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the demand for re-election by BNP and its allies is baseless.
He came up with the remark at a meeting with journalists at his office at the secretariat on Sunday (January 14).
Obaidul Quader said, "There are challenges in all sectors of life including politics, economy. That challenge is even more difficult in the current global situation. However, I think, no challenge is impossible to face."
Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, "When we started the work of Padma Bridge, no one thought it would be possible to complete it. The World Bank was not on the side either. However, we managed to build Padma Bridge. No one thought that this city will get Metrorail. But that too has been gifted by Sheikh Hasina's government. We have a lot of work ahead of us. There are many challenges."
"We have to come to democratic political practice in the true sense. A party does not stay in power forever. All the wealth of this country belongs to the people. Those who are in the opposition party are also part of this wealth. So the journey of development that has started should be taken to our vision till 2041," he added.
