BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has said that enhancing people’s quality of life will be the central focus of the party’s future politics. Urging voters to back the “sheaf of paddy” symbol in the upcoming election, he said, “Vote for the Sheaf of Paddy, and together we will build the nation.” He also pledged that the BNP would prioritise employment-oriented policies going forward.

Tarique Rahman made these remarks while speaking virtually on Tuesday (August 12) at a discussion titled “Expectations of the Youth and BNP's Plan for the Future of Bangladesh,” organized by Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal to mark International and National Youth Day at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital.

He said, “People want a change from the politics they are used to. They want promises fulfilled, not just made. That’s why BNP will introduce employment-based politics in the days ahead.”

Tarique Rahman also said, “If we move forward with courage and integrity, avoiding revenge and hostility, Bangladesh’s prosperity is inevitable. If we can turn our population into skilled manpower, it will be a blessing for the country. Creating jobs for our workforce will be one of BNP’s main goals.”

The BNP leader said the era of slogan-based politics is over, stressing that people now seek real change. “BNP is committed to meeting people’s aspirations through actions, not mere promises,” he said.

Highlighting the need to adapt in a technology-driven world, he urged party leaders and activists to present BNP’s people-centric plans directly to the public.
