Bodies of couple and two children recovered from Bihari camp area in Mirpur

Police have recovered the bodies of a couple and their two children from a residence in the Wapda Bihari Camp area of Mirpur-11 in Pallabi, Dhaka.

The bodies were recovered on Thursday, February 5, in the afternoon. The identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately.

The matter was confirmed by Pallabi police station officer-in-charge AKM Alamgir Jahan.

He told the media that the bodies of a husband, wife and their two children were recovered from a house in the Wapda Bihari Camp area.

The OC said police and the CID crime scene unit are present at the scene. After completing the inquest report, preparations are underway to send the bodies to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue.

Preliminary information gathered from neighbours suggests that the family had fallen into debt. Police initially suspect that they may have taken their own lives out of desperation.
