Bodies of three unidentified persons recovered in Shahbagh
Police have recovered the bodies of three unidentified persons from different footpaths in the capital's Shahbagh area on Sunday, July 12.
The bodies were found at three separate locations: Anandabazar, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and the footpath in front of Dhaka University's Amar Ekushey Hall.
Witnesses informed police after seeing the three individuals lying unconscious in different spots. Two bodies were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 11:00 am, where doctors declared them dead. One was estimated to be around 60 years old and the other around 55. Earlier, around 9:30 am, another body of a 35-year-old was recovered from near Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Moniruzzaman said the identities of the deceased could not be confirmed. They are believed to have been homeless. The bodies have been kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue, and efforts are underway to identify them.
