Body of minor found in bushes two days after going missing

Police have recovered the body of an eight-year-old child named Mim two days after she went missing in Nabinagar of Brahmanbaria. The body was recovered from the bushes of a pond bank in Bidyakut Borobari area of the upazila in the afternoon on Monday (September 21).

The deceased Mim is the daughter of Mizan Mia of Bidyakut Borobari area. Police has informed that a general diary was filed at the police station from the side of the family over the incident of her going missing.

It has been learnt by talking with the police and the local residents that Mim suddenly went missing from around the house two days ago. After that the family members searched for her in various possible places. Along with the relatives the locals also kept searching for the child. However her trace could not be found anywhere.

In the afternoon on Monday the body of the child was seen lying in the bushes of the pond bank of Bidyakut Borobari. After getting the news the police of Nabinagar police station went to the spot and recovered the body.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nabinagar police station Morshedul Alam Chowdhury has confirmed the matter. He informed that her maternal grandfather Firuz Mia had filed a general diary at the police station two days ago after not finding Mim. The body of the child was recovered from the bushes of the pond bank in the afternoon on Monday.

However how the child died could not be confirmed immediately. After recovering the body the police has started the necessary legal process to know the cause of death.

Police has informed that the incident is being investigated with importance. What had happened from the going missing of the child till the recovery of the body is being examined. The real cause of death will be known in the next investigation including the post-mortem.
