The body of Dilara Hafiz, wife of Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed and former Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), has been brought to Dhaka. Her body arrived on Sunday, March 29, at 6:01 pm on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-585. The Speaker and family members were present at the airport. According to family sources, her first funeral prayer will be held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad on Monday, March 30, at 12:00 pm, followed by a second janaza at the central mosque of the cantonment after Zuhr prayers. Dilara Hafiz passed away on Saturday, March 28, at 1:29 pm local time while undergoing treatment at Singapore General Hospital.

ঢাকায় পৌঁছেছে জাতীয় সংসদের স্পিকার হাফিজ উদ্দিন আহমদের সহধর্মিণী ও মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চশিক্ষা অধিদপ্তরের (মাউশি) সাবেক মহাপরিচালক দিলারা হাফিজের মরদেহ। রোববার (২৯ মার্চ) সন্ধ্যা ৬টা ১ মিনিটে বাংলাদেশ বিমানের বিজি-৫৮৫ ফ্লাইটে তার মরদেহ দেশে আনা হয়। এ সময় স্পিকার হাফিজ উদ্দিন আহমদ ও পরিবারের সদস্যরা বিমানবন্দরে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। সোমবার (৩০ মার্চ) দুপুর ১২টায় জাতীয় সংসদের দক্ষিণ প্লাজায় তার প্রথম জানাজা ও পরে বাদ জোহর সেনানিবাসের কেন্দ্রীয় মসজিদে দ্বিতীয় জানাজা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে বলে পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে। উল্লেখ্য, দিলারা হাফিজ শনিবার (২৮ মার্চ) সিঙ্গাপুরের স্থানীয় সময় দুপুর ১টা ২৯ মিনিটে সিঙ্গাপুর জেনারেল হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় ইন্তেকাল করেন। মৃত্যুকালে তার বয়স ছিল ৭৮ বছর।
