Bogura Lekhok Chakra hosts rain songs, discussion
The literary organization Bogura Lekhok Chakra, in collaboration with Bogura Jibanananda Parishad, hosted a poetry recital event titled “Barshar Padaboli” (Rain Songs) and a discussion session on Friday evening at Max Motel in Bogura.
Md. Ramzan Ali, District Education Officer, attended the event as the chief guest. The discussion session was presided over by Atiqur Rahman Mithu, Advisor of Bogura Lekhok Chakra and President of Bogura Youth Choir.
Special guests included Kalam Azad, General Secretary of Bogura Press Club; Poet Rased Mehedi, Editor of online portal Views Bangladesh; Khandaker Abdur Rashid, Editor of The weekly Dinkhon; Anwar Mallick, Deputy Postmaster General (DPMG) and literary critic; Mohsin Ali Raju, Bureau Chief of Inqilab; and Abdul Hannan, Principal of Dr. Enamul Haque Art and Cultural Academy.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Poet Islam Rafiq, President of Bogura Lekhok Chakra, and Anannya Russell, General Secretary of Bogura Jibanananda Parishad.
As part of the Barshar Padaboli segment, 27 poets recited their self-composed poems and rhymes inspired by the monsoon. The session was moderated by Poet Sikta Kajol.
