Bomb threat at HSIA again, authorities urge calm
Another threat was made over the phone to an APBN duty officer on Thursday (January 23), just a day after a bomb scare at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The Executive Director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport said in a written message to the media, "As per protocol, we are working in coordination with all agencies and have tightened security."
"All operation at HSIA are running normal. We request for no panic or additional news," he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Biman flight BG-356, en route from Rome to Dhaka, received information during the journey that someone onboard had issued a bomb threat.
According to Captain Kamrul Islam, the flight, carrying 250 passengers and 13 crew members, was safely evacuated and proceeded to the terminal.
