Bot army creating fake photocards to troll me: Education Minister
A planned propaganda is being spread on Facebook, said Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon. He said the 'bot army' is conducting a planned smear campaign against him, creating fake photocards and trolling him. He also mentioned that they are spreading ridiculous propaganda, including claims that he will announce the exam routine on the day of the examination.
The minister made these remarks while speaking as chief guest at the freshers' reception ceremony of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) in Dinajpur on Friday, April 17.
Earlier, a piece of information regarding the upcoming Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination routine had spread on social media. Later, the Ministry of Education said in a press release that false and baseless news had spread on social media and online portals claiming that 'the routine will not be given to prevent cheating, and students will only know which subject they will be tested on in the exam hall'. In reality, this is a rumour.
The education minister also alleged that the 'bot army' had spread another rumour on Facebook: 'MPO will be cancelled if a student fails'. "I had said that MPO would not be cancelled even if there are zero passes in any institution this time. But the 'bot army' wrote – 'MPO will be cancelled if you fail'. Now it seems the country runs on Facebook," he said.
