BRAC Bank promotes four senior leaders

BRAC Bank has promoted four senior leadership team members to Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Deputy Managing Director (DMD) effective from April 1, 2025.

Mr Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, previously Deputy Managing Director and Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, has been promoted to Additional Managing Director. He joined BRAC Bank in 2017 as Head of Credit Risk Management. Prior to that, he worked at Eastern Bank, AB Bank, and IFIC Bank, accumulating nearly three decades of experience. His leadership has driven significant growth in corporate banking and enhanced portfolio quality.

Mr Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, DMD & & Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking, and Mr Syed Abdul Momen, DMD & Head of SME Banking, have been promoted to Additional Managing Director. Mr Nazmur Rahim, Head of Alternate Banking Channels, and Mr Md Muniruzzaman Molla, Head of Operations, have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Managing Director.

Mr Syed Abdul Momen, previously Deputy Managing Director and Head of SME Banking, has also been promoted to Additional Managing Director. With over 20 years of banking experience, he joined BRAC Bank in July 2017. Before that, he held roles at Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, and BRAC Afghanistan Bank. Under his leadership, BRAC Bank’s SME division has become a leader in the sector.

Mr Nazmur Rahim, Head of Alternate Banking Channels, has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director. He joined BRAC Bank in 2016 and previously served as Head of Retail Banking. He has over 27 years of experience, having held senior positions at AB Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and ANZ Grindlays.

Mr Md Muniruzzaman Molla, Head of Operations, has also been promoted to Deputy Managing Director. He began his career at ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1993 and later worked at City Bank NA and Habib Bank Limited. He has extensive experience in trade, treasury, and cash management operations.
