Bristy’s body identified, repatriation to Bangladesh underway
The body of Nahida Sultana Bristy, the Bangladeshi student murdered in Florida, United States, has been recovered.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Washington confirmed the information on Friday, May 1.
Florida police informed Bristy’s brother over the phone that the second body recovered was that of Bristy . The family has requested that her body be sent to Bangladesh.
The embassy in Washington has initiated the process of repatriating Bristy’s body through the Bangladesh Consulate in Miami .
The body of fellow Bangladeshi student Zamil Ahmed Limon will be sent to Bangladesh from Orlando International Airport on May 2. His body is expected to arrive in Dhaka on May 4 via Dubai .
Earlier on April 24, police recovered Limon’s mutilated body. Both were PhD students at the University of South Florida.
Hisham Abugharbieh, Limon’s roommate, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder .
