A delegation from the British High Commission in Bangladesh met the Commission of Inquiry into Disappearances at the commission's office in Gulshan in the capital on Thursday (January 30), says a press release. Justice Mainul Islam Chowdhury, chairman of the Commission of Inquiry into Disappearances, welcomed them and briefed them about the activities of the commission. The representatives highly appreciated the activities of the commission. They assured the commission of all-out cooperation. The delegation included Doyne Adele Shianbola, First Secretary (Political) of the British High Commission in Bangladesh, and Roy Fleming and Sian Ambler of the UK Foreign Office.

বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত ব্রিটিশ হাইকমিশনের প্রতিনিধিদল গুম সংক্রান্ত তদন্ত কমিশনের সাথে রাজধানীর গুলশানে কমিশনের কার্যালয়ে সাক্ষাৎ করেছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (৩০ জানুয়ারি) এক সরকারি তথ্য বিবরণীতে এ কথা জানানো হয়। বার্তা সংস্থা ‘বাসস’ এক প্রতিবদেনে জানায়, গুম সংক্রান্ত তদন্ত কমিশনের সভাপতি বিচারপতি মইনুল ইসলাম চৌধুরী এ সময় তাদের স্বাগত জানান এবং কমিশনের কার্যক্রম সম্পর্কে অবহিত করেন। প্রতিনিধিরা কমিশনের কার্যক্রমের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন। তারা কমিশনকে সর্বাত্মক সহাযোগিতা প্রদানের আশ্বাস দেন। প্রতিনিধি দলে বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত ব্রিটিশ হাইকমিশনের প্রথম সচিব (রাজনৈতিক) ডয়িন অ্যাডেলে শিয়ানবোলা, যুক্তরাজ্য ফরেন অফিসের রয় ফ্লেমিং এবং সিয়ান এমব্লার উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
