The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has pushed 13 Bangladeshi nationals, including women and children, into Bangladesh through the Tanakkapara border in Matiranga upazila of Khagrachhari district early Thursday morning (June 19).

The group, which includes 12 residents from Narail and one from Jashore, is currently under the care of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at a local school facility near the border.

According to local officials, they were handed over without prior coordination or official procedures, raising concerns over human rights and diplomatic protocol.

Osman Ali, administrative officer of Tabalchhari Union Parishad, confirmed the development and stated that the individuals had been working in India as bricklayers and masons, primarily in Maharashtra. "Many of them had migrated to India 15 to 20 years ago in search of livelihood opportunities," he said.
