BTCL launches high-speed internet packages without price hike

Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has increased internet speeds several times across all its existing packages without raising monthly prices.

The decision was taken to provide improved digital services to customers, the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology said in a press release on Sunday.

According to the release, under the new arrangement customers will receive significantly higher internet speeds at the same cost as before. This is expected to make online education, office work, video streaming, gaming and other digital services easier and more convenient.

Package-wise speed upgrades

The monthly Tk 399 package, previously offering 5 Mbps under the name Sulav-5, has now been upgraded to 20 Mbps and renamed Sashroyi-20.

The Tk 500 Sulav-12 package, previously offering 12 Mbps, has been upgraded to 25 Mbps and renamed Sashroyi-25

The Tk 500 Campus-15 package, previously 15 Mbps, is now 50 Mbps under the name Campus-50

The Tk 800 Sulav-15 package has been increased from 15 Mbps to 50 Mbps and renamed Sashroyi-50

The Tk 1,050 Sulav-20 package has been upgraded from 20 Mbps to 100 Mbps and renamed Sashroyi-100

The Tk 1,150 Sulav-25 package now offers 120 Mbps instead of 25 Mbps, renamed Sashroyi-120

The Tk 1,300 Sulav-30 package has been increased from 30 Mbps to 130 Mbps and renamed Sashroyi-130

The Tk 1,500 Sulav-40 package now provides 150 Mbps instead of 40 Mbps, renamed Sashroyi-150

The Tk 1,700 Sulav-50 package has been upgraded from 50 Mbps to 170 Mbps and renamed Sashroyi-170

The press release said the initiative would ensure faster, more reliable and higher-quality internet services for customers, further strengthening the country’s digital transformation.
